Reset- Gameplay Trailer

After seeing the announcement teaser trailer for Reset last year I couldn’t wait to see more from this stunningly beautiful game that was created by such a small team in their own game engine. Finally there is more gameplay footage from the game so we can enjoy the stunning visuals and look forward to something that looks a bit like a Last Of Us environment mixed with Portal-style gameplay.

Check out more information in my earlier link, or have a look at the brief Kotaku article here.

I loved the teaser trailer for Reset, the sound track and cinematography were really moving and it makes you want to find out more about the game. From their description of the game on their website the trailer fits their concept perfectly.

The Game

Reset is a single player co-op first person puzzle game with a strong emphasis on story and atmosphere. The unique game mechanic in Reset is the ability to travel back in time to solve puzzles co-operatively, with yourself.

The Company

Theory Interactive is an independent game studio formed by two artists, one working with a pen and a pen, the other with a keyboard and a keyboard. Using fresh thinking in content creation we aim to bring smart, immersive and entertaining gaming experiences to core gamers. We are using and developing our own proprietary technology aptly dubbed  Praxis.

Alpo Oksaharju – Writer / Artist / Designer
Mikko Kallinen – Programmer / Composer / Designer

Apparently it is all in-game footage, made by 2 people using their own engine. Quite hard to believe as it looks amazing, but thats what they say:

The debut trailer for our first game Reset. Everything you see in the trailer is straight from the in-game engine, no up-ressed textures, geometry or effects. What you see is what you will get. Except hopefully a little bit better since we’re not even in alpha yet.

I will definitely be looking out for this game.
