Uncharted 3 Concept Art That Never Made It

There are some beautiful concept art images for Uncharted 3 on IGN that sadly never made it to being made into environments in game. I haven’t got round to playing the series yet but I have seen many of the beautiful environments and by the standards Naughty Dog work to it is a shame that these didn’t make it into any of the games.

Early Zelda Concept Art

Kotaku has posted an article containing some concept artwork for the first few Zelda games, and they look damn good! It would be awesome to have a reboot of the series in this darker and grittier style.

Katsuya Terada is a Japanese artist you may not know by name, but you may definitely know him for his work. He’s done character design for the Blood: The Last Vampire movie. He’s helped out on Western cartoons like Hellboy. He’s even done illustrations for Nintendo Power magazine.

Which leads us neatly into this gallery of wonderful illustrations from the first few Zelda games.

Appearing in material like old copies of Nintendo Power and official player’s guides, and aimed at complementing the small and crude screenshots used at the time, Terada’s Zelda art gives the series a tone and presence it wouldn’t be able to muster on its own until well into the 1990s.
