3 Really Good Documentaries- 2 Games, 1 Disney

Recently I have been lucky enough to watch 3 really good documentaries that would interest many people who play games, like Disney or have any sort of creative interest at all.

Indie Game: The Movie

The first is pretty well known. This film follows the development of a few indie games from their early stages to release. It is a really interesting look behind the scenes and into the minds of the developers and shows some deep-set problems/feelings that you wouldn’t expect- one of the developer’s game was a critical success and sold millions but he went into depression as he felt nobody understood the true meaning and idea behind his work.

This is a MUST WATCH for anybody who enjoys games or is creative at all.

The King Of Kong: A Fist Full Of Quarters

The second film I hadn’t heard of before. This film mainly focuses on 2 guys, Billy Mitchell and Steve Wiebe, in their quest to set the World Record top score on Donkey Kong, and the really dark and deviously shocking things behind the scenes. It’s a brilliant documentary for gamers and is better than it sounds!

(Sadly I could only find a really low-res trailer, the real thing is good quality)

Waking Sleeping Beauty

The final film is a behind the scenes look at Disney and the political power struggle in the company following Walt’s death. This is a great watch for any Disney fan and people who are interested in politics and power struggles within companies.

Check them out and let me know what you think 🙂

  1. Howdy! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
