Wolfenstein 3D’s 20th Anniversary Present Is A Free Browser Version Of The Game

Happy 20th Birthday Wolfenstein 3D! To celebrate this Bethesda has released a free browser version of the game so you can relive the mastery or, if you are like me, you can enjoy it for the first time.

The above is a great directors commentary video of the game from the co-founder of id Software from th legendary John Carmack.

Experience this classic for yourself over on Bethsoft.com.

Machinama released a great ‘All Your History’ video on id Software (above) last year too, which is worth a watch.

    • I was only 6 when it came out so I have an excuse for not having played it yet! Will definitely play on a lunch break at work sometime, though at the moment we are playing LAN games of the free open source Red Alert and Command & Conquer games =)

      • To be honest I’m generally not a fan of ‘realistic’ FPS. The only FPS I really love is the Halo series, I’m not a fan of COD, etc. I will play Wolfenstein just because it is such a classic and lead to the development of the genre, but I would much rather play a really nice art style game like Epic Yarn, Rayman Origins, Alice: Madness Returns, etc =)

Thank you for the heads up though
